The base raw material, coal, is blended with other pre-specified carbonaceous substances at various points in Carbonyx's proprietary Carbon Alloy Synthesis Process (CASP).
After several critical reactions in a controlled environment, the resulting product is a semi-crystalline carbon structure that has applications in the iron, steel, and mineral processing industries.
Cokonyx™ has been developed for industrial environments as a coke replacement. Because Cokonyx™ is custom-made from several types of raw materials, Carbonyx has developed its own equivalency tests in order to compare it to traditional coke.
